Canon EOS Rebel T3 (1100D) Review

Canon unveiled the Canon EOS Rebel T3 (or EOS 1100D) entry-level digital SLR at the end of the first quarter of 2011. The Canon EOS Rebel T3 is the perfect DSLR camera for the entry-level photographer who wishes to switch to DSLR photos. It comes equipped with a 12 MP CMOS sensor and with Canon's latest DIGIC 4 image processor. The entry level DSLR is capable of 720HD movie recording. Canon upgraded to a 9-point AF sensor, as the big brother T3i, compared to the 7 points on the Rebel XS. The camera comes standard with the version II 18 - 55 mm IS lens or you can upgrade to the Mark III version.

The Canon T3 works better with the standard lens than the T3i does. The kit lens (version II 18-55mm IS lens) and the 12MP sensor produce a very impressive image and the T3 will work well with the low-end lenses. A point against the T3 is the plastic construction, which feels lightweight. When you attach a heavier lens, this destabilizes the camera. It may be irritating eventually

With a few adjustments, the Basic+ feature helps you in taking pictures that are more creative. You can brighten or darken the picture.

The Canon EOS Rebel T3 has a pop-up flash or you can mount an external flash to your camera on the hot shoe and produce images under better light conditions. The two external flashes are the Canon 270 EX II or Canon 320EX.The user controls are straightforward on the Canon T3. It has many auto control settings for the amateur photographer. Has a set of manual controls for the learning enthusiast. The menu guide makes it the most user-friendly digital SLR Canon has produced for the amateur photographer, yet it has ample advanced features for the advanced photographer to be happy.

With an ISO range of 100 to 6400, the EOS Rebel T3 enables shooting any time during the day. You can take picture without a flash due to the enhanced high-sensitivity optimization and high shutter speed.

Performance wise, the overall operation, shot-to-shot times, and the autofocus are fast.

Featuring some of the advanced technologies found in more expensive canon models, the Canon EOS Rebel T3 enables you to take very good photos on all the automatic settings. It will help you with your photographic learning experience.

The functionality the T3 offers at the digital SLR entry level will make it a very good choice with a limited budget. For its high image quality, 12MP image processor, and budget consciences price, the Canon EOS Rebel T3 is a good entry-level model. For shooting great images, this camera is a very good choice if you are a novice or a more advance photographer.
